Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Quality Car Brokers?
Quality Car Brokers is a wholesale car buying service that help clients purchase vehicles from dealer-only auctions. Instead of shopping the traditional retail market, we source vehicles closer to where licensed dealers buy them.
2. How is this different from buying from a dealership?
Traditional dealerships purchase vehicles from the dealer-only auction, mark them up, and sell them to the public. We help you access the same wholesale market before those retail markups are added, while guiding you through the entire buying process.
3. Can anyone buy from a dealer-only auction?
No. Dealer-only auctions are restricted to licensed dealers. Quality Car Brokers purchases vehicles on behalf of qualified clients.
4. How much can I save?
Every vehicle is different, but many clients save thousands compared to traditional dealership pricing. Savings depend on market conditions, vehicle demand, mileage, condition, and auction pricing.
5. What types of vehicles can you source?
We can source:
- Cars
- SUVs
- Pickup trucks
- Luxury vehicles
- Electric vehicles
- Hybrid vehicles
- Cargo vans
- Commercial vehicles
- Fleet vehicles
6. How do you know if a vehicle is a good buy?
Before recommending a vehicle, we review:
- Vehicle Condition Report
- Auto-Check Vehicle History Report
- Manheim Market Report (MMR)
- Auction announcements
- Vehicle photos
- Available service history
We only recommend vehicles that meet your requested criteria.
7. What is the Manheim Market Report (MMR)?
The Manheim Market Report (MMR) estimates the current wholesale market value of a vehicle based on recent dealer auction sales. It helps determine whether a vehicle is being purchased at a fair wholesale price.
8. What is a Condition Report?
A Condition Report is an inspection completed by the auction that documents cosmetic condition, equipment, tire tread, structural observations, and other visible issues before the vehicle is sold.
9. What is an Auto Check Report?
An Auto Check Report provides information about a vehicle’s history, including previous ownership, accident history, title history, mileage records, and reported events.
10. Do you inspect vehicles before bidding?
We review all available auction information before bidding, and perform an in-person inspection depending on the auction location and vehicle availability.
11. What happens after the vehicle is purchased?
After purchase, we:
- Verify all purchase documentation.
- Arrange any available post-sale protections or inspections.
- Coordinate transportation from the auction.
- Keep you updated until delivery.
12. What is arbitration?
Arbitration is the auction’s dispute process that may allow qualifying vehicles to be returned or adjusted if certain undisclosed issues are discovered after purchase, subject to the auction’s rules and eligibility requirements.
13. What issues may qualify for arbitration?
Depending on the auction’s policies, qualifying issues may include:
- Undisclosed frame damage
- Title discrepancies
- Mileage discrepancies
- Seller misrepresentation
- Certain major mechanical defects
- Other eligible conditions under the auction's arbitration policy
14. Do all vehicles qualify for arbitration?
No. Eligibility depends on the auction’s sale terms, vehicle announcements, sale light, and arbitration policies. Some vehicles are sold strictly As-Is.
15. Do your vehicles come with a warranty?
Dealer-only auction vehicles are generally sold without a manufacturer’s warranty unless factory coverage remains. Extended vehicle service contracts may be available after purchase.
16. Can you finance vehicles?
We do not provide financing.
17. Can I trade in my current vehicle?
We focus on helping clients purchase vehicles from dealer-only auctions. Trade-in options may be available through other channels, depending on your situation.
18. How long does the process take?
Most purchases are completed within a few days to several weeks, depending on how specific your vehicle request is and when the right vehicle becomes available.
19. Do I choose the vehicle?
Yes. We provide vehicle options, reports, photos, and pricing. You decide which vehicle you’d like us to bid on.
20. Is there a fee for your service?
Yes. We charge a transparent broker fee for sourcing, evaluating, purchasing, and coordinating delivery of your vehicle. The fee is discussed before we begin.
21. Do I have to sign an agreement?
Yes. Clients review and sign a Broker Agreement before we begin sourcing vehicles and sharing wholesale inventory, reports, and pricing.
22. Can you ship vehicles anywhere?
Yes. We can arrange transportation to most locations within the continental United States.
23. What if you can't find my vehicle?
If we don’t locate a vehicle that meets your requirements, we simply continue searching until an acceptable option becomes available or you decide to stop the search.
24. Why should I use Quality Car Brokers?
Because we help you buy smarter by giving you access to:
- Dealer-only auction inventory
- Wholesale pricing
- Vehicle history reports
- Condition reports
- Market value analysis
- Professional guidance from search to delivery
Our goal is to help you make informed buying decisions with the same market information professional dealers use.
25. Do dealer-only auction vehicles come with a warranty?
Most dealer-only auction vehicles do not include a traditional retail warranty and may be sold “as-is.” Some may still have remaining manufacturer coverage. Eligible vehicles may also qualify for a Manheim Post-Sale Inspection, which provides a limited 7- or 14-day guarantee on inspected components. This is purchase protection—not a comprehensive warranty.
26. Should I purchase an extended warranty?
An extended warranty—technically a vehicle service contract—may be worth considering, especially for an older, higher-mileage or technologically complex vehicle. Before purchasing, compare the coverage limits, exclusions, deductible, repair facilities, waiting period and claims process. Also confirm that the vehicle does not already have remaining manufacturer coverage.
27. What warranty companies do you recommend?
Quality Car Brokers recommends considering manufacturer-backed coverage first when the vehicle qualifies. You may also compare established independent service-contract providers, but eligibility and coverage vary by vehicle and location. We do not guarantee or endorse any particular provider. Always review:
- Covered components and exclusions
- Deductible and total price
- Waiting periods and mileage limits
- Approved repair facilities
- Cancellation and refund policies
- The company responsible for paying claims
We can help clients obtain and compare available coverage options before making a decision.
28. When can I buy an extended warranty?
A vehicle service contract can often be purchased before delivery, at the time of purchase or afterward. However, buying earlier may provide more options and a lower price because vehicle age and mileage affect eligibility. Some providers require an inspection or impose a waiting period before coverage begins. Pre-existing conditions are generally excluded, so coverage should be arranged as early as possible.
